QLD: Woman found on Whitsunday Island

BRISBANE, Aug 30 AAP - A 23-year-old woman who went missing on Whitsunday Island has been found.

The woman, from Hamilton Island, was located safe and well at Shute Harbour early this
afternoon, police said.

Police, State Emergency Service volunteers and an RACQ rescue helicopter had been searching
for the woman earlier today, after she was last seen on Thursday afternoon in the vicinity
of Whitehaven Beach.
