Vic: Inglis to remain indefinitely stood down

MELBOURNE, Aug 12 AAP - Melbourne Storm NRL star Greg Inglis will remain stood down
indefinitely after court proceedings against him were adjourned.

Inglis is charged with assaulting his girlfriend Sally Robinson at his Altona Meadows
home on Sunday.

The case was adjourned for two weeks on Wednesday after Inglis appeared briefly in court.

Following a Melbourne Storm board meeting on Wednesday afternoon, the club determined
that Inglis would remain stood down from playing for the club for an indefinite period.

"We believe this is the appropriate course of action and is in the best interest of
all parties concerned," Melbourne Storm CEO Brian Waldron said.

"We reiterate our concern for the wellbeing of all involved. The club remains committed
to providing counselling to all parties concerned."

Inglis will next appear in court on August 26.
