Richardson Brands gets grant from National Grid
CANAJOHARIE -- Richardson Brands said Thursday it has received a $400,000 grant from National Grid that will help it pay for a new steam boiler at its plant in Canajoharie.
Richardson had faced losing its source of steam when neighboring Beech-Nut moves to a new plant in the Town of Florida Business Park in Montgomery County and shuts down its shared boiler. .
The state also provided $1.5 million to help pay for the new boiler.
