NSW:25 dead ponies found in northern NSW

The bodies of 25 ponies have been dumped near a cliff in northern NSW.

Police found the remains near Glen Innes after a tip-off about the dead animals on
Saturday afternoon.

The officers followed tracks to a nearby cliff, where they spotted the bodies of 25
ponies of various colours and ages in the early stages of decomposition.

They say there are no obvious wounds and no obvious reason for the cause of death.
